 Homosexuality: Freedom or Slavery?
Homosexuality, a behavior that once was illegal, is now illegal to criticize. In many Western nations and in a number of American institutions such as universities, television networks, and government agencies, if you dare criticize a homosexual because of his homosexuality you may face suspension, termination, legal action, fine, and even imprisonment.
In tandem with the principles of “Tolerance” and “Diversity”, homosexuality is now taught as a pleasant way of life and a positive lifestyle that should be respected, if not embraced, by all Americans. In school, at movie theaters, on TV shows, in political speeches, the leaders of America promote homosexuality. Inversely, those that oppose homosexuality have the scorn of today’s elite and millions of Americans who have been manipulated into believing that tolerance of homosexuality is synonymous with being considered educated, compassionate, and in style. For those that go against the politically-correct grain and insist that homosexuality is not good but an abomination, the government has now stepped in to legally enforce the special rights of homosexuals.
As a result, in 2002, the state of Vermont has given homosexual couples full legal status and benefits afforded to married couples. In 2003, the nation of Canada legalized homosexual marriage. On June 7, 2003, Episcopalians in a national first for the church, elected an openly homosexual man as their bishop. Today, sodomy laws in many states are being legally challenged and overturned. Are these changes good developments?
What is the definition of sodomy, anyway? Sodomy is defined as any sexual intercourse regarded as abnormal, as between persons of the same sex, especially males or between a person and an animal.
Where does this word “sodomy” come from? Sodomy is derived from the word “Sodom” which was the name of a city in which the LORD GOD destroyed with fire and brimstone because of the rampant homosexual sins that the inhabitants there engaged in.
In Genesis 19 of the Holy Bible we read, “And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? Son-in-law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.
And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here, lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shown unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.”
And in Jude 7, "As Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."
The Holy Bibles states in Leviticus 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." In Leviticus 20:13, we read, "If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them."
Despite what the Holy Bible proclaims, American political and cultural leadership today opposes the Word of GOD. They decree that homosexuals are now free to do what they want in the United States. Does this, however, mean that homosexuals are now really free?
The answer is no. Homosexuals are shackled in spiritual chains and bound tighter than physical chains could ever hold, because there is no freedom in sin. The Holy Bible states in Romans 6: 16, "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience to righteousness?”
In II Corinthians 3:17, we read, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." If the Spirit of the Lord is not present there is bondage. Man is really free only in GOD, the Source of freedom. If there is no regard for JESUS CHRIST, who, according to the Holy Bible, is the only way to GOD and if there is no regard for the principles of the Holy Bible, the spirit of anti-Christ is present. Hatred, envy, strife, suppression, bondage, disease, corruption, misery, and death are always the result.
The new American morality teaches that a homosexual and a heterosexual are equal and their moral decisions are equally acceptable. That is not what the Word of GOD teaches.
The Holy Bible states in Proverbs 5:22, "His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of sins."
The wicked shall be tied and held in bondage by sin. Where GOD's laws are overturned or ignored, as homosexuals advocate, there is no liberty, only bondage.
II Peter 2:19, "While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage."
Even if Vermont, Canada, Hollywood, Washington, D.C., and the Episcopalian Church decree that GOD's laws, such as the commands against illicit sex and sexual perversion, are irrelevant or inapplicable, they still are very relevant and apply to each person. A person can say his pet dog "Rover" is a giraffe but that doesn't change a thing, "Rover" is still a dog. So it is the same with homosexual rights advocates who say there is no law against sodomy. The truth is that there is, as is stated plainly in the Holy Bible and in our hearts. Therefore promoting and living the homosexual lifestyle is promoting and living a lie. Homosexuality is not pleasant but a depraved way of life that is in a very real sense, a prison sentence to those who choose it. In this prison, there is no light, no liberty, and no truth. There is only darkness, bondage, and misery.
As American founder, Benjamin Rush said, "It is ordained that men of intemperate and reprobate minds cannot be free. Their lusts and sins forge their chains."
Sin seeks to attract, control, master and eventually destroy the soul. Life in JESUS CHRIST sets us free from the bondage of sin.
The Holy Bible states there is a Deliverer. One who has defeated sin, satan, the wickedness of the world, and Who can deliver sinners from this bondage of sin, "He hast sent me ...to proclaim freedom for the captives." -Isaiah 61:1 This ONE is JESUS CHRIST, the Son of GOD.
The Holy Bible affirms in John 8:36, and throughout Holy Scripture, “Whom the Son hast set free he shall be free indeed.”
But if GOD and HIS Commands are ignored, mocked, or opposed, the Holy Bible states in Romans 1:18-19, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shown it unto them."
And in Romans 1:24, "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient."
The Word of GOD, the Holy Bible condemns homosexuality as an abomination. However, American culture no longer supports the Word of GOD. The leaders of American culture, including our political leaders, proclaim that homosexuality is something that all Americans should embrace. Americans should even go so far as to extend a helping hand to homosexuals to help further their desire to lead a happy life as a homosexual. After all, they say, homosexuals and lesbians are not hurting anyone, they’re just different. They should be respected just like anyone else. Is this attitude promoted by our cultural leadership right? Is what they say really true?
Homosexuals, and those that support them, spread a lethal disease and yield a bitter fruit. By their abominations, they tear down and oppose freedom, goodness, health, true love, blessing, Biblical morality, the family, the betterment of children, the nation, and the Church. Theirs is a culture of death.
Homosexuality especially the male kind, has proved an epidemic health and sanitation problem, just as one might expect from the abuse of sexual and excretory organs. How brainy does one have to be to foresee what is likely to happen when a life-giving organ is inserted into the excrement chute? Whose idea of a good life is that?
Normal intercourse between a man and woman produces human life; homosexual intercourse spawns only bacterial life. There is, despite the propaganda, a vast difference between sexual relations that are destructive to individuals and our society, and those that are beneficial, and ordained and blessed by GOD. Common sense even cries out that if everyone were homosexual, humanity would die because there would not be any further natural child birth. Thus, marriage between a man and a woman and the resulting procreation by GOD’s providence represents life, whereas homosexual union, which is rebellion against GOD, represents death.
Homosexual-transmitted diseases such as AIDS are today epidemic and threaten the lives of millions around the world. Yet, no one in American political and cultural leadership states the obvious, that homosexuality is the primary cause of AIDS and those that engage in it should be culpable in the spread of it. And if not outlawed due to health concerns, homosexuality should, at the very least, be scorned; but it is not. It is at the beginning of the 21st Century more embraced and lifted up than anytime in American history.
In world history, we learn that all of the great empires of antiquity, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient Egypt, were all destroyed from moral decay within, in which homosexuality played a key role in their demise. Homosexuality was a primary cause in the moral decay of these nations analogous to a termite eating away at the foundation of a house. Homosexuality, in part, gave these empires their eventual doom. No nation is immune from this destruction.
The governmental support of homosexuality opposes freedom in many ways. It violates most heinously each person’s freedom of religion and his freedom of speech. With the rise of Hate Crime Law, there may come a day in the United States, as has already occurred in Canada, when a person can not quote Holy Scripture regarding the sin of homosexuality without violating the “law” of the land.
The rise of the homosexual movement also negatively affects the courtesy, manners, trust, and neighborly affections of neighborhoods, parks, stores, homes. There are many fathers and grandfathers, teens and young adults who count it a joy to greet, speak with, joke with, play with children in their neighborhoods. They enjoy making kids smile and laugh, it brightens their day as much as it brightens the little ones. But with the constant news in recent months of homosexual child molesters, rapists, kidnappers, and the such, many have become hesitant in speaking to any kids they do not already know. Parents are rightly on edge. This makes for a more dreary, dark world. All of this darkness can be attributed to the tolerance and diversity movement that tolerates homosexuals, criminals, and sexual deviants.
Even the friendship between men on ball teams or at clubs or at work are dampened because of the incessant focus on homosexuality in the news, on TV shows, in the movies, making normal men hesitant to befriend other men that they do not already know. Homosexuality does in fact hurt everyone very much.
What of those nations around the world who have legalized homosexual marriage? Is this an important development? It certainly is important if you love GOD and your neighbor as yourself. By legalizing homosexual marriage, the sanctity of marriage, as ordained by God, is no longer recognized. Once marriage can mean anything, it means nothing. More children will be adopted by homosexual couples, therefore placing these poor children at increased risk for sexual and other abuse. The institutions of marriage and family will further disintegrate leading to more societal problems of violent crime, welfare dependency, and poverty that stem from the disintegration of the family. Even worse, the spiritual lives of children will be negatively affected by growing up in homes that do not believe in the GOD of the Holy Bible, the only true GOD.
What about the church? On June 7, 2003 Episcopalians in a national first for their denomination, elected an openly homosexual man as their bishop. The selection of Rev. V. Gene Robinson, age 56, told supporters to be gentle with those who disagreed with their decision in electing him. “We will show the world how to be a Christian community”, he said. “I plan to be a good bishop not a gay bishop.”
Mr. Robinson lives with his “partner” Mark Andrew.
For Mr. Robinson and those who defend homosexuality and lesbianism as an alternative lifestyle, just as normal and valid as a heterosexual lifestyle, and for those who claim practicing homosexuals and lesbians should be part of the Church, the Holy Bible states in Proverbs 21:27, "The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?"
Homosexuals in the Catholic priesthood were recently estimated to make up 30% of all clergy. A major study conducted by the Kansas City Star found that priests are dying of AIDS at a rate at least 4 times that of the general US population. In the Anglican Church of England Anglican “clergy” are dying of AIDS at a rate 2 to 3 times greater than Catholic priests in the US.
Ninety-eight percent of the publicized cases of child molestation committed by US Catholic priests involve boys - making it obvious that the myriad of criminal charges of child molestation, child rape, and child abuse are done by clergy who are homosexual.
And what pain, misery, sickness and death these abominable homosexual clergymen have spread; just one homosexual clergymen was recently charged with 132 counts of child molestation over a period of two decades. In his position of trust he molested or raped and greatly injured children on 132 separate occasions, greatly injuring these boys, their brothers and sisters, their parents and grandparents, their neighbors and fellow citizens in the name of the church. How evil, vile, dark, shameful and sick this is!
The root of this vile, unspeakable sin can be found in the tolerance of homosexuality in the seminaries. Not only are many religious orders admitting homosexuals but they are rejecting those seminarians who follow GOD’s Word, the Holy Bible, and oppose homosexuality. Those that rightly do this are labeled “homophobic” and “rigid” and if not immediately rejected from seminary, these many good seminarians are pressured to change their views or be forced out.
As a result there are clergy, who should be living holy lives as representatives of the Holy LORD , who instead live with men in homosexual perversion turning churches from places of light, righteousness, goodness and glorifying to GOD into places of darkness, wickedness, evil and where satan is lifted up.
One of the results of this abomination is the escalation of more abominable sin. This ‘tolerance of homosexuality’ has led to criminal charges of child molestation against “clergymen” who are, for almost 100% of the time, homosexual. This unspeakable violation has not only horribly injured trusting children who are the victims of homosexual molesters but has also led to the tragic mistrust by many families and individual people of the church itself.
This vileness was accomplished as sin hid itself in the disguise of tolerance and liberalism but showed its ugly head in the heinous violation of children and insidious damage to the reputation of Christianity.
The Holy Bible states, "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." Matthew 18:6
Despite all of the revelations of the consequences of homosexuality, there has been an increase in the infiltration of our nation's public schools pro-homosexuality curriculums. The American Education Establishment’s aim is to teach children to accept and approve of homosexuality. There are homosexual strategists who devise curriculums with a long-term commitment to change the way society thinks about homosexuality. They begin their perverted indoctrination with our youngest children - beginning in kindergarten. They teach students that any problems associated with homosexual behavior must be blamed on “homophobia”. They promote gay pride and teachers who are openly homosexual. They equate any opposition with hate, bigotry, and prejudice. It is in reality another step in a gay agenda to deconstruct family and society.
The media are also heavily involved in the promotion of homosexuality. They do so with pride and ceaseless enthusiasm in the hope to normalize homosexuality and lesbianism in the nation. On television there are now over 25 homosexual characters on prime time television programs. Each character is charming, witty, intelligent, fun, and likeable. Can anyone imagine 25 openly born again Christian characters on prime time television programs each charming, witty, intelligent, fun, and likeable?
The education and media elite want to assure the public that deviance pays. “It is just entertainment” they deviously say. “Homosexuals are nice, they’re not hurting anyone”, they assure us. Homosexuality doesn’t hurt anybody? Oh really!!!
Homosexuals claim moral parity with marriage; they deny and despise GOD's law as bigotry (Romans 1), they communicate disease, they want to take away everyone's freedom by forcing all citizens to accept their lifestyle, and they demand the right to seduce all children.
Members of homosexual rights groups consider themselves victims of hate merely because most people rightly consider homosexual acts immoral and disgusting. In fact it would be hard to find a more hate-crazed group than the gay rights movement as a whole. It hates any religion that condemns homosexuality, dismissing a moral code as old as Moses as bigotry.
Homosexual activists repeatedly defile churches and insult true clergymen with obscenities, but the mildest disapproval of sodomy itself must be crushed. While demanding tolerance it displays none of its own.
By contrast, tolerance requires the Boy Scouts to give up their core convictions and admit homosexuals as scout leaders. There are a number of organizations and powerful people working through the courts and the media to admit, under the banner of tolerance, homosexual scout leaders into the Boy Scouts. This aim to place homosexuals in close relationships with scouts, to influence and possibly seduce American boys, to degrade an organization that symbolizes traditional American virtue, is reprehensible.
Homosexual activists and homosexuals themselves, as we can plainly see, are not nice - as the media portrays - but live wicked lives in opposition to the truth of the Word of GOD. The homosexual lifestyle they live causes injury and pain to all they come in contact with - from children to neighborhoods to nations.
The Holy Bible states, "Their murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord." Exodus16:8
And though they rant and shake their puny fists at the LORD, they will soon disappear from sight and memory, unless they repent of their sin.
In I Corinthians 6:9-10, we read, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites... will inherit the kingdom of God."
"By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil." - Proverbs 16:6

Homosexuals and lesbians are also in bondage. Only God can deliver them, as with all sinners.
For homosexuals, lesbians and their supporters, the first step is to cry out to GOD in repentance through JESUS CHRIST. By repenting in this way, this means a homosexual, lesbian, or anyone that opposes Biblical morality - must turn away from homosexuality and all other known sins, at the same time, believing in JESUS CHRIST to be your substitute for your past, present. and future sins. For except ye repent only in this way, you shall all likewise perish.
